How Tricia Works

When working together, Tricia offers a calm, grounding space where you can begin to explore the issues you are struggling with at a pace that feels safe for you. There is no pressure to have everything explained,  just space to talk openly and begin to make sense of what you’re experiencing.

She specialises in supporting people who feel anxious, overwhelmed or stuck in cycles of repeating patterns. This may also include the impact of past or difficult experiences that continue to affect how you feel in the present. Tricia also has experience in working with complex relationship and family issues.

Sessions are paced carefully around you, helping you feel supported rather than overwhelmed.

Tricia’s core approach is person-centred counselling, which means you are at the centre of the work at all times. Together, you explore what is happening for you, begin to notice patterns in your thoughts and feelings, and gently build a clearer understanding of your issues and how it affects your life.

Alongside talking therapy, she may also draw on mindfulness-based approaches to support emotional regulation. These can help you become more aware of what is happening in your nervous system and begin to feel more grounded. Where appropriate, she may gently offer simple techniques to support calming the body and mind. These are always optional, collaborative, and introduced only if they feel right for you.

Tricia may help you explore how past experiences or early patterns may be linked to current anxiety responses, supporting deeper understanding and long-term change.

This work can help you to:

  • understand your triggers

  • understand what maintains your negative thought patterns

  • reduce cycles of overthinking and worry

  • feel more grounded and emotionally steady

  • make sense of past experiences that still affect you

  • respond to difficult feelings with more calm and confidence

  • reconnect with your needs and sense of self

  • understand why you react the way you do in certain situations

  • Stop people pleasing

 A Gentle, Collaborative Process

Tricia believes that there is no fixed way therapy “should” look. Some sessions may focus on talking things through, while others may involve reflection, slowing things down, or gently noticing how anxiety shows up in the body.

Everything is guided by your needs and your pace, with Tricia alongside you — offering steady support as you begin to feel more settled, more aware, and more able to manage anxiety in your daily life.

Getting Started

Starting therapy can feel like a significant step, especially when you are already feeling anxious or overwhelmed. It’s important that you feel comfortable and supported from the beginning.
