My practice
I'm based in Godalming, in Surrey for face to face appointments. I can also offer online or telephone sessions.
I specialise in working with people who are struggling with anxiety. I help clients manage and overcome constant negative thoughts, catastrophising, feeling panicky, worrying all the time, overthinking, poor sleep, feelings of helplessness and despair.

I use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy tools with clients who feel stuck and want to start moving forward. Healing the past is essential, but it's also important to start looking ahead. Setting values-based goals helps client to move forward and start making the changes they want to make in their lives.
I have extensive experience of Counselling people who have a diagnosis of Autism. I used to work for the National Autistic Society, where I coached and supported autistic adults online. Since then, I have had several Counselling clients who are autistic.
My approach is integrative, which means that I use therapeutic tools from different counselling theories to help you in a way that's tailored to you. Some clients find CBT strategies helpful, while others wish to go a little deeper and explore where their anxiety stems from.

I am committed to my continuing professional development and regularly engage in courses and workshops to support and update my clinical practice.

I offer a free 15-minute telephone or online video consultation for a brief discussion about what you would like support with and to answer any questions you might have. Beginning counselling can feel like a big step and I appreciate it is important for you to feel as comfortable about the process as possible.
