Helping you with Anxiety
In the UK, over 8 million people are experiencing an anxiety disorder at any one time (Mental Health UK)
Do you struggle with any of these common symptoms of anxiety?
Overthinking, worrying constantly, thinking something bad will happen, feeling irritable or tearful, having trouble sleeping, a racing heartbeat, or shortness of breath.
I help clients overcome anxiety by supporting them to:

-
notice and identify triggers
-
learn how to manage their negative thinking
-
understand what is happening in the body when anxiety hits
-
regulate their nervous system with simple strategies
-
learn ways to find safety within themselves and a sense of inner calm
-
learn useful breathing exercises and easy to use grounding techniques
-
confront the situation step by step
-
gently and at their pace, allow difficult feelings to come to the surface, so they can explore them, work through them and release them.

The research states that people who have neurodivergent brains, those with autism and/or ADHD, are more likely to struggle with anxiety and depression. After working with many clients who are neurodivergent, I can definitely support this. Trying to fit into a neurotypical society can be very stressful, as well as exhausting. If you have a neurodivergent brain, and you feel you need some support, do reach out. I offer Counselling online and over the telephone, as well as in person.
