Tricia Slater Therapy

"Healing is about reclaiming our power and rewriting our future."  Peter A. Levine

Do you feel overwhelmed, on edge, and exhausted from holding it all together? Maybe your mind won’t switch off. Perhaps your body feels tense, reactive, or unsettled.

If this sounds familiar, you’re not alone — and it doesn’t have to stay this way.

How Tricia Can Help

Tricia is a fully qualified and experienced Counsellor. Alongside talking therapy, Tricia draws on approaches that help you tune into and understand how your experiences are held in the body.

She works in Godalming and Farnham in Surrey and online globally.

Tricia helps people to heal and recover from trauma by helping them to feel safe in their mind and in their body.

Science has shown that trauma is held in the body, we cannot think our way out of trauma.

As part of this work she helps people reconnect with their true self - beyond people pleasing, beyond expectations and masks, so that they start the process of self-acceptance.

Tricia is a native Spanish speaker, she works with Spanish and English speakers.

More than just Talking Therapy

After going to several Counsellors for talking therapy for herself, Tricia realised that even though she was having regular sessions, and she was doing the inner work, nothing was shifting. Tricia then worked with practitioners from other modalities and found that

integrating talking therapy with gentle body-based approaches, helped her to feel more grounded,  to regulate her emotions, and to reconnect with herself.

Tricia offers a warm, supportive and holistic approach to therapy that gently brings together mind, body and emotional wellbeing.

At the heart of her work is counselling—providing you with a safe, compassionate space where you can talk openly, feel truly heard, and begin to make sense of what you're going through, at your own pace.

This way of working may be right for you if:

  • You’ve tried just talking therapy before but still feel stuck.

  • You feel constantly “on edge” or unable to fully relax.

  • Your mind is busy, even when you’re tired.

  • You feel overwhelmed by your thoughts or emotions.

  • You feel disconnected from yourself or others.

Instead imagine feeling:

*Calm, grounded and settled.

*Finally able to process difficult emotions so that you can properly heal and start moving forward.

*Deeply connected to yourself, understanding who you are, what drives you, what your needs are.

*Safe enough to truly connect with your partner, friends, family.
